The Patricia Giles Centre is a feminist-based, non-profit organisation committed to providing services to women and children who have experienced or witnessed domestic violence and to men who seek to improve the quality of their family relationships. The Patricia Giles Centre offers safe crisis accommodation and counselling for women and children affected by domestic violence. The Centre also provides culturally appropriate Aboriginal services. There are a number of support groups run at various times including self-defence, children's groups, fun & fitness and children & pets.
Stonehouse Men's Shed is a community-based club, predominantly (but not solely) for older or retired gentlemen to meet, socialise, and use their previous work skills to further hobbies and interests. Sheds are a response to men's needs for camaraderie and to provide opportunities to work together in a way that continues to contribute meaning to their lives and their communities. Woodwork, music, board games and gardening are popular pursuits, while a relaxing blether over coffee and biscuits is a core attraction.
We are committed to fight poverty, homelessness, and hunger and empowering and supporting families in need and underprivileged children by providing essential resources. We offer rehabilitation programs. Our ultimate goal is to assist individuals to start afresh and build a brighter future.
