(UK, 1012732) Browse eventsEsher & District Citizens Advice Bureau has been serving the Elmbridge community for over 40 years by providing free, independent and confidential advice to anyone who needs it. Every year our dedicated volunteer advisers help around 3,000 people with over 12,000 problems including welfare benefits, debt, employment and housing. Many of those we help are the most in need in society. For example, right now we are supporting local disabled people through the latest changes to disability benefits. Our comprehensive and expert service has enabled many of them to apply for the new payments and appeal against decisions in cases when they have been turned down. Thought we were a government service? We’re not – each local Citizens Advice is a separate charity and relies on volunteers and money raised locally. Without support we could not continue to help individuals and families in our community.
