(UK, 304258) Browse eventsThe existing playground for our younger children is in need of replacement, and we have a plan in place to provide an outstanding facility that will be enjoyed for years to come. The new area has been designed by Wicksteed Playgrounds, a UK company that has 100 years of experience providing inspirational play spaces that meet the highest safety standards. The new playground will include swings, a roundabout, seesaw, interactive play panels and a dinosaur-themed climbing frame with slide. The equipment will also cater for wheelchair-bound children and sensory areas will help those with autism and learning difficulties. The site of the playground will move next to the village hall, enabling easier wheelchair access and use of our other facilities. The cost of the playground will be around £56,000; to date, we have raised about £49,000. With your support to get us over the line, the playground can become a reality in the first half of 2019. Please get involved with cake sales, sponsored runs and any other ways that you can think of. Follow our Facebook page for regular updates and get in touch with your fundraising ideas. Aston & Cote Community Trust (registered charity 304258) is responsible for the care and management of the village hall, recreation field and the playgrounds on Cote Road, Aston, Oxfordshire. Our facilities are a vital resource for the local organisations that enable educational, recreational and leisure time activities to the benefit of our community. Through careful management of our facilities by a team made up of volunteers, mostly from the local organisations themselves, we help to provide essential services. These include a number of sports and fitness groups and a social support group for the elderly. Charity No: 304258 Find out more Facebook https://www.facebook.com/AstonCote/
