The organisation is funded through voluntary contributions from instructors and from fundraising activities in Ireland throughout the year.GECS has also acquired items of medical equipment for donation to developing countries. A large consignment of cardiac defibrillators will shortly be transported to hospitals in Kenya, Malawi and Zambia.
