Our services include counselling for those suffering from mental health issues including depression, gambling addiction, anxiety, phobia and low self-esteem. As well as counselling, we are also involved in a range of projects which help spread mental health awareness in our mission to raise the profile of mental health issues within the Chinese community in Britain and beyond. Support us this summer for our annual British 10k London run 2013! The time has come again for us to get your running shoes on in support of CMHA! Following on from our success of the British 10k run from previous years, CMHA are looking to bring together a team of volunteers for a fun 10k run this July 2013. Last year our volunteers managed to raised £1343.53 which we were able to put to good use, funding our counselling services and other projects aimed at helping those with mental health issues within the Chinese community. This July, our target is to beat the amount raised last year with your help! Whether that's through participating in our run or making a financial contribution, we need your help to achieve our goal. If you'd like to take part in this year's British 10k London Run and represent the Chinese Mental Health Association, please contact John at [email protected]. ...................................................................................................... Donating through Virgin Money Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, theyll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer (25p for every £1 donated). So its the most efficient and secure way to donate! Donations at any size would be very much apprecited. Thank you on behalf of CMHA and the Chinese Community.

(UK, 1138748) Browse eventsIn February 2008, Luke Cory was a happy 4 year old boy who had just started school. He was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukaemia) and subsequently underwent numerous rounds of chemotherapy, only for it to return on 2 more occasions. Despite a bone marrow transplant, radiotherapy and all the advances in medicine, Luke tragically died in December 2009.His parents and friends have set up this Trust to give other families with children facing life threatening illnesses a chance of making valuable memories by funding a holiday home at Bunn Leisure in Selsey. Luke and his parents had this chance in the New Forest while Luke was well enough to go and they desperately want other families to have the same opportunity.Bunn Leisure Holiday Park in Selsey was a favourite of Luke’s and the location is close to Chichester Hospital, so children who need treatment or emergency care can be provided for.We are pleased to announce that in March 2011 we reached our initial goal and managed to purchase a caravan at Bunn Leisure Holiday Park. However the fundraising continues to enable us to maintain the caravan for years to come.We thank you for the support you are giving us, and assure you that any contribution, no matter how small, will be carefully used and is greatly appreciated.
