The center also serves as an advocacy resource and builds awareness about autism in our region.
Our primary school is in Petham, a small, rural village near Canterbury.We have around 100 children on roll. We are a busy, friendly school with lots going on.Our vision is to be a happy, safe learning environment for all members of our school community and our values of Kindness, Respect, Tolerance and Resilience are evident in everything that we do.Through nurturing our children, both academically and socially, we aim to give them a secure foundations for life, so that they leave us with an excellent education, self-confidence, resilience and independence, respect for others and a love for learning.The support of the PTFA is invaluable. It enables us to access many activities and enjoy many resources that we could not provide otherwise. For example, the PTFA have supplied funding for: "wet play" games and toys; a donation towards the school pantomime trip to enable all children to take part; new carpets for Robins and Swallows classes; two eco-cars for a Year 6 project; new books for the library. In 2018, the PTFA is raising funds to provide new outside play equipment and support the school in setting up a pre-school provision.
