The Oaktree Foundation (AU, 92941705461) Browse events

YTD Raised: $0.00

Oaktree is young people leading a movement to end poverty. Extreme poverty has already been halved and together we can end it. Breaking it down, Oaktree works in three ways. One, we raise awareness about extreme poverty in Australia, because movements need widespread public support. This is our social impact. Two, we fundraise to work with local organisations that directly tackle poverty overseas. And three, we influence policy change by ensuring Australia’s leaders take action to end poverty. For us, change starts with a simple belief - that extreme poverty is unacceptable. Beliefs turn into action, and enough informed action will end extreme poverty in our lifetime. Young people have the unique ability to build and lead this movement. Oaktree is Australia’s largest youth-run organisation with over 150,000 members.

West tytherley CE Primary School – PTA (UK, 1154103) Browse events

YTD Raised: n/a

Government funding cuts are having a catastrophic effect on small, rural village schools and we are increasingly forced to rely on the generosity of our local community to help us with our fundraising efforts. Our Committee is a PTA (Parents & Teachers Association) set up and consisting of parents whose children attend the school. Throughout the year, we organise events that raise funds for the school, enabling it to progress in many areas. We help with the purchase of learning materials and subsidise educational school trips. This year, we are hoping to raise extra money so that we can continue to give our children access to music. We continually thank you for your kind donations.
