The Trussell Trust foodbank network works in partnership with local churches and organisations to bring foodbanks to communities across the UK. There are now over 300 foodbanks in the network. Today in Letchworth, Hitchin & Baldock there are families struggling to put food on the table. For people on low incomes, a sudden crisis - redundancy, benefit delay or even an unexpected bill - can mean going hungry. Every day parents skip meals to feed their children and people are forced to choose between paying the rent and eating. Letchworth foodbank provides emergency food and support to local people in crisis. (UK, 1140034) Browse eventsA child is born with five fundamental human rights. But many children get deprived of these five fundamental rights due to the disastrous plight of the nature or the irony of their fates. Maybe for different realities they get wretched from enjoying these rights from their families, society or the country. We, who consider ourselves as rich and capable, should come forward to stand by these desolated children to get back their rights. This is a kind of responsibility that obliges us to be aware of. And in order to fulfil this obligation this responsibility urged us to establish Aid and Peace Trust. Education is one the most prime rights out of these five fundamental rights. Our commitment is to work for education. Our activities are spreading throughout the UK, Europe, and Bangladesh including other nations of the third world. Our work are categorised under the four different areas. 1. Education Aid In order to give it a new meaning we have added some novel but flexible methods to the current education system which will make success possible through the existing system. This is why we have named it Education Aid. We prioritise two types of education aids. A) “Alo Education Support Centre”. Background: As we observed: The “Alo Education Support Centre” will also ensure recruiting good teachers as because the five schools surrounding “Alo” will comprise the best teachers from amongst their teacher staff to be recruited at “Alo”. For example, some school has the best Maths teacher while on the other hand; another school has the best English teacher. These teachers will be rewarded competitive salaries and allowances for the extra time they will have provided for this school. Every teacher of this scheme should submit a comprehensive yearly lesson plan at the beginning of each calendar year. And they must abide by the authorised lesson plan precisely. The “Alo” co-ordinator will ensure the matter with regards to the plan. The teacher staff of “Alo” will report to the co-ordinator of the progress reports of the students in their regular class tests, weekly tests and monthly tests. The main criterion to get registered as an “Alo” student a learner has to be in top ten in the class while the top five will only be entitled to have an offer for this after school facility. Students will be provided transport facilities, if needs, for attending the school regularly. B) Publication for Alo Education Support Centre 2. SCHOLARSHIP We prioritise two types of scholarship. a) “Alo Education Support Centre” students will be provided scholarship for their higher education. Students who will come first in their annual exams at “Alo”, they will be awarded this scholarship. This scholarship will also be offered to the ones achieve 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in their own classes. b) Scholarship for higher education: We can see that there are a lot of talented students desire to go abroad in pursuit of higher degrees from the famous education institutes, but they cannot make their dreams come true because of lack of financial supports. And again some of them even sold their own lands and properties to fly abroad chasing their dream. But ironically their dream to obtain a degree turns to earning money for their livelihood therefore achieving a degree comes a distant drum for these youngsters. And of course there are exceptions to this case. We offer scholarship in a way that the package self-sufficiently affords all expenses of the students. Applications for awarding the scholarship will be invited through filling out a specific application form at a certain time. Academics and experienced people constitute a body to finalise the awarding of the scholarship. 3. Publication We do two types of publications. a) Special publications for the students of “Alo Education Support Centre” as well as the publications to support the conventional education system of the country. b) The manuscripts, that are not being published lack of sponsorship, will be published through this publication. 4. Visual aid The present world has entered a digital age. Visual media engulfs a large space in the digital world. For example, TV, cinema, Internet, etc. Through this visual aid we make education aid programmes, documentaries, software and different types of movies. Furthermore, visual aid will visualise to produce cartoon shows for children as well as variety of shows for the adult viewers. Our training programme is underway within the scope of visual aid. This training programme will ensure the participations of the young people. And in this respect derailed youngsters will be prioritised to get them back on the right track. Presently, the areas visual aid engages in are: 1. Two Cartoon Series: 2. Two Documentary Series:
