We are Friends of Longstone School. A group of parents, teachers, friends and members of the local community who support our village school. We are responsible for the majority of the fundraising in the school, which we use to help support the school in trying to offer our children the best standard of education that we can. Our largest task at the moment is to help fundraise for some building work in the school, which will improve our entrance hall, some of our classrooms and outside areas, and provide some desperatly needed office space. We have named this, very imaginatively, as the 'The Building project'!
Through building strong sustainable communities which care for their weakest and defend their most vulnerable, Esuubi's vision is to see a Uganda where every child knows the love of a mother, the support of a family and the hope of a future... We believe every child has the right to be loved...Love is a force which inspires, empowers, liberates, creates and sustains. Above all, we provide for the orphans of Uganda a love which enables them to love and care for those around them.We believe every child has the right to access water, food, shelter and education...We believe that through providing Uganda’s needy children with access to water, food, shelter and education, we can break the poverty cycle to build a more sustainable future for the whole country. We believe in the difference that can be made by improving one life at a time...Esuubi believe that by shifting the course a single life we can impact the lives of many others. At the heart of Esuubi is an understanding that in order to change lives in the future we must grow a generation who have the life skills, education and understanding of how to survive in a changing world.
