Zambia is one of the world’s poorest countries and over two thirds of people live on less than £1 per day. We work directly with local people to help them transform their communities by providing skills training and essential education and healthcare facilities.
We provide football and fitness activities for over 500 people with a range of ages and abilities. The aim of this activity is to improve well being fitness and social engagement across the local community building life skills and friendships.
Hatzola Northwest is a First Aid & Emergency Ambulance Service operating 24/7 in the North West London area, covering Golders Green, Hendon, Hampstead & Finchley. The services are provided to the community, entirely free of charge by a team of over 40 volunteers.
We are the retreat centre for The Nottingham Diocesan Catholic Youth Service. Led primarily by a team of full time volunteers, we provide fun and engaging programmes for over 5,000 young people each year, exploring issues of personal, social and spiritual importance.
Formed after Sam Davis lost his life to violence, the foundation’s mission is to encourage youth to reach their maximum life potential. The emphasis is to empower youth to make safe and positive life choices. The harm prevention activities cover awareness, education and funding for disadvantaged and disengaged youth.
KidsAid works with children and their families, where a child is suffering from trauma caused by bereavement, bullying, illness, family breakdown, domestic violence, through to cases of physical and sexual abuse.
This Fund was set up in 2003 with the aim of raising £250,000 to provide 3 additional intensive care cots for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This was achieved in just two years with magnificent support from staff, families and the local community. Donated funds are utilized to purchase specialist equipment.
The charity’s objects are the promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of inhabitants of Greater London and surrounding areas by the provision of facilities for kayaking, canoeing and other outdoor sports. Any donations received will be used for our appeal to raise funds for new, purpose-built club house to provide our users and the local community with a modern sporting hub with vastly improved facilities. This will open up our work to enable more people to be active in the local community.
