(UK, 1173063) The DPJ Foundation is a mental health charity based in Pembrokeshire whose sole aim is to support those with mental health problems, particularly in rural communities and in the agricultural sector.The Foundation was set up following the death of Daniel Picton-Jones. It was decided that something positive needed to come out of such a horrendous occurrence and there the foundation was born. We use funds raised to hold mental health awareness training for those who work within the agricultural sector and as of Winter 2017 we will be offering fully funded counselling sessions to support those in need.Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. 1 in 4 of us will suffer with poor mental health at some point during our lives.Agriculture carries one of the highest rates of suicide.Men are more likely to commit suicide than women.Isolation in rural communities contributes to high levels of poor mental health.The stigma that surrounds mental health prevents people from getting the support that they need.All of these are the facts. What we aim to do is to support the huge population that is effected by poor mental health and give them the tools to get better. We aim to break down the stigma that surrounds mental health and get people talking. We aim to provide support services in a quick and responsive manner where services are not currently being provided.Please donate to support our cause.
