Founded in 1860, the same year that Abraham Lincoln was elected the 16th President of the United States, Provident Behavioral Health is one of the oldest non-profit agencies serving individuals, families, and communities throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area. Provident's mission is building brighter futures through exceptional behavioral health services, especially for those with the greatest need. We accomplish our mission through our four key impact areas: 1) Counseling Services, including our School Based Counseling Services 2) Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention 3) Afterschool Programs 4) Advocacy and Public Policy Our programs touched 80,642 lives last year, focusing on the underserved populations.
