(IE, CHY16888) Browse eventsSeachange Foundation is a dynamic non profit Foundation with a global network of Microcredit partners throughout the world. Its mission is to raise funds and awareness for Microcredit which targets the worlds poorest people, empowering them to lift themselves out of extreme poverty with dignity .Seachange is presently funding Microcredit projects in Haiti and India. What is Microcredit? 'Microcredit' or 'tiny loans' to the world's poorest, is proven to work as a sustainable method of lifting entire communities out of poverty. Loans from as little as €100 allow the poorest of the poor to purchase an income earning asset. Repayment levels average upwards of 98% and this money is then recycled as the next microcredit loan and again and again creating this wonderfully sustainable model. Establishing Seachange In 2006 Seachange Foundation was established and since then we have raised considerable funding which has impacted on the lives of tens of thousands of people and has assisted them on their journey out of extreme poverty. Seachange Foundation a 100% voluntary run, Irish based charity, is solely focussed on raising awareness and funds for this successful approach to poverty alleviation.
