(UK, 1124219) We have a zest for making a meaningful difference to young people’s life chances. Help us to achieve our goal! We are Medway Youth Trust, a charity with big aspirations for young people and our community. Our mission is quite unashamedly bold; to improve the life chances of young people. Every young person is unique. Whether a young person is achieving and living within a supportive family or whether they are struggling and face multiple barriers to their progression, they all require support and challenge to become the best they can be. So, we provide both open access and more targeted support. We provide vital support to some of the most vulnerable young people in our society; for example young homeless people, young people not attending school, looked after children, young parents and young people in custody. We provided support to young people who are trying to cope with a difficult experience; for example bereavement, relationship breakdown at home, and bullying. But we also provide support for gifted and talented young people who are unsure about their own aspirations. It is absolutely key to our charity’s work we are independent and impartial of any statutory agency because it means that the activities, information, support, guidance and advice we provide to young people is in their best interests and relevant to their lives, skills and aspirations. We also provide programmes which re-engageme young people, we help them develop employability skills and we work with employers to create work for young people. We help young parents get back in to learning and we provide small grants to young people in or leaving care where a little money can make a big difference. Young people are at the heart of our charity with two young Trustees, in addition to a young people's forum. We have a saying within Medway Youth Trust... "we start at the ends". We know the end results we seek to achieve. We are dedicated to achieving them. We need you to help!

We work solely with people with mental health problems aged 18 to 64 and are acknowledged experts in our field. Working with peoples strengths to help them lead an independent life. We are committed to the best practice in providing services such as: Outreach SupportHelping people overcome difficulties that threaten their independence. Supported Housing Homes for people where they can live independent lives with support as and when its needed. Health & Wellbeing Challenging activities that counter stereotypes and utilise the facilities the community has to offer. What makes us special? Its the way we work - we use the talents of our staff and our clients to help create a service that offers real choice and allows people to choose the level of independence they want and need. We look to what’s right and the strengths people have, and use these to create an individual service that best meets the person’s needs at a particular time. Whilst were great at solving problems were into long-term, sustainable solutions not temporary, quick fixes. Our clients are always at the heart of what we do and this input keeps us special. We have been providing reliable and innovative services to people for over 20 years. Our organisation was formed in response to what service users said they needed then and still say they need now.
