In July 2017, a group of 47 seniorScouts and Leaders from Forth Region are traveling to Namibia to work on adevelopment project with the Scouts of Namibia and the Traditional Authority inthe village of Omakange in North West Namibia. The project involves buildinga kindergarten school room, develop a community garden and provide a boreholeand toilets to service the garden and the school room. The total cost ofthe project is £40,000, and so far the Scouts have raised over £30,000. The Friends' association represents and supports parents in their concerns. They carry out various fund raising and holding out-of-school events. We also organise discos, bingo nights and fashion shows for the pupils, families and friends.
Grade I listed West Horsley Place is one of Surrey’s most intriguing historic houses. Sadly, many of the buildings are in desperate need of repair. Our vision is to restore the buildings and open West Horsley Place to the public for the first time in 1,000 years as a cultural and artistic centre.
