(UK, XN5704) The LHPCC (Little Houghton Parochial Church Council) is responsible for funding the maintenance and running costs of St Mary The Virgin Church which is a beautiful Grade II listed building dating back to Norman times and stands in the centre of Little Houghton, Northampton. The Church forms a hugely important focal point for the village in terms of bringing people together and offering support to everyone in the community. Recent work carried out on the Building and the Church Yard has meant that funds are needed now more than ever.

YTD Raised: £0.00The UKFTSH raises funds to support the work of The Shepherd’s Hospice, Freetown Sierra Leone. In particular the charity funds the work of the Community Team, which works with people with HIV/AIDS, cancer, tuberculosis, malaria and other illnesses. Funding is used to pay the salaries of the community palliative care team, enable medical investigations and supply appropriate medicines. The Shepherd’s Hospice is the first medical institution in Sierra Leone to use oral morphine for pain control. The UKFTSH also support staff training and provide educational support. Since the foundation of UKFTSH trustees have visited the Hospice on a number of occasions to learn about and monitor the work of the hospice.
