The Australian Professional Firefighters Foundation is dedicated to burn prevention as well as burn and road trauma survivor support and recovery programs. The organisation is committed to raise funds for the Newland Burns Unit in the Women's and Children's Hospital, to assist in the purchase of equipment and upgrade of the unit. The Foundation supports individuals who have been affected by burns or road trauma as well as improving and maintaining the internal network and welfare of Professional Fire-fighters and their families. 1st Mill End Scout Group provides a balanced program of Scouting activities for boys and girls 6 to 14.5. We encourage children of all abilities to join in and try new adventures and experiences such as hiking, camping, canoeing, survival camps. The skills learnt during Scouts are applicable as they move through life, such as team work, patience and courage.
Tauranga Primary School caters for year 1 to 6 children. We are dedicated to providing a quality education for your child(ren) and believe that by working in partnership with families, together we can achieve this. We encourage our school families to be actively involved in our school community.
BCA is run by its members for the benefit of all who live in Barnes and is totally committed to making Barnes an even better place to live, work and play. With a small team and many volunteers we run Rose House as a community centre and organise major events such as Barnes Fair and the Food Fair.
