Meals cater for all dietary needs, are all Halal and prepared from fresh ingredients. Members can volunteer with food preparation and cooking and are supported with ESOL classes. Members can access food hygiene training, digital skills courses, day trips into the countryside and cultural events in the city.

(UK, SC040648) In concert and in contest The Co-operative Funeralcare Band has been making music for over ninety years. Over that time, it has proved to be the most successful band in the history of Scottish brass band music. The band has won the Scottish Championships 32 times and, during the 1990's, twice carried back to Scotland the National Championship of Great Britain - the only Scottish band ever to win this prestigious championship. The key aims of the band as a charity are to: (1) Promote public appreciation and understanding of brass band music and to stimulate interest in the art of brass band playing for the benefit of the public generally and especially members of the Co-operative Movement. (2) Promote the education and training of people of all ages, in the playing of brass instruments and their appreciation of brass band music.
