Palm Tree School (PTS) is an independent primary school providing outstanding education in a caring environment. The purpose of PTS is to provide an enriching, enjoyable and caring environment where the Islamic way of life is expounded and reinforced and where children are encouraged to achieve their full potential in every respect. The school was opened in 1999 amidst growing concern in the Muslim community that children were growing up missing a good understanding of Islamic values. It was with this in mind, the school was established to provide the National Curriculum and Islamic education in an environment where the Islamic way of life is encouraged and reinforced and where children are encouraged to achieve their potential. Project features The School is now looking to become a free school and expand its facilities within the community for both women and children. This exciting initiative will begin in our new building. The approved site for PTS will be situated at the heart of Blackburn at the Former Health Centre, Blackburn. The new construction will entail better facilities for our pupils such as classrooms, a library, ICT Suite and a Prayer room. The School will provide after school clubs, Arabic Classes, weekend tuition, cookery, facilities for women in Blackburn and the community and much more.
