How Battle Buddies Therapy Dogs Support Veterans and Their Canine Companions At Battle Buddies Therapy Dogs, we have one mission: to provide life-changing support to veterans through the companionship and loyalty of therapy dogs. Every day, we work to match veterans with highly trained, loving dogs that will serve as their “battle buddy” as they navigate the challenges of civilian life. Our goal is to provide our veterans with not only a dog, but a lifelong partnership. What We Do for Veterans Veterans who come to Battle Buddies receive their therapy dog completely free of charge. We source our dogs from responsible AKC breeders or shelters, ensuring that every animal we pair with a veteran is healthy, well-suited for the role, and ready to form an unbreakable bond. But we don’t just provide a dog; we provide a lifelong support system for both the veteran and their canine companion. Every dollar we receive comes from donations, and we are proud to say that every dollar goes directly to helping veterans and their therapy dogs. Whether it's covering the cost of food, veterinary care, training, or organizing events, your contribution has a direct impact on the lives of veterans and their loyal companions. At Battle Buddies, we are committed to ensuring that no veteran is left behind. We fully support each veteran and their battle buddy for the life of the dog.
