YTD Raised: £0.00Supporting people of all ages suffering from Cancer in the New Addington and surrounding areas The Charity was inspired by former Mayor of Croydon and New Addington Councillor Brenda Kirby MBE, who suffered from incurable brain and lung cancer. Brenda's battle against cancer was finally lost in September 2013. While she discovered the range of facilities on offer in Purley, Brenda also realised there was nothing like it in New Addington. It is difficult to get to Purley from New Addington, particularly by public transport and therefore this charity was set up in order that an extra centre in New Addington could be established. This is important because people suffering from cancer have found travelling from New Addington by public transport tiring, difficult and expensive.
