(UK, 1141475) Goldsmiths: putting the centre back in our community.*CROWD-FUNDING CAMPAIGN KICKED OFF WITH A £1065 DONATION FROM GOLDSMITHS DANCE ACADEMY XMAS PANTO PROCEEDS!* Goldsmiths Community Association manage Goldsmiths Community Centre, a valuable and valued centre in one of the most deprived areas of London. The centre has served the local community for over 75 years. Early in 2015 the discovery of asbestos led to the full closure of the venue. The trustees of GCA were delighted to announce the reopening of part of the building in September 2015 and are now committed to fundraising to achieve refurbishment of the whole building so that it is fit to serve future generations. Please watch take 15 minutes of your time to watch our new campaign film / documentary which details the history and importance of the Centre and our battle to keep the doors open.
