At-Taqwa Academy is a registered Charity (1138453) and has been in operation for over 10 years. Work started with the publication of magazines/literature and conferences focusing on the youth. We aim to serve the needs of the wider community through the following: - to provide a deeper understanding of Islam - to further community cohesion - to provide religious education/tarbiyah activities - publication and free distribution of literature and audio CD’s - to provide a safe environment for the youth Through the Fadhl and grace of the Almighty, your sincere duas, kind donations and loans; At-Taqwa Academy has purchased a property for £520,000. The building was built around the 1850’s and essential maintenance and refurbishment works must be carried out to meet the current regulations. We make a humble appeal for all to pray for the success and acceptance of At-Taqwa Academy, it’s works, future plans and fulfilment of all its needs. In order for the completion of the works we are accepting Lillah (for Allah’s pleasure) and Qardh e Hasanah (interest free loans) for this project, we have a 30 days repayment (upon request) policy in place for loans.
Every year, 1st Portishead Scouts help over 100 young people aged between 5 and 14 years across seven Beaver, Cub and Scout sections experience the outdoors, interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Hatzola HBS is an emergency response service for health emergencies across Southgate, Cockfosters, Hadley Wood and Barnet. Staffed by local trained volunteers we aim to respond to calls for assistance within minutes. Our aims are to reduce suffering and save lives. We work alongside the local NHS hospitals and other emergency services to ensure faster responses that NHS services may be able to provide. Although our volunteers are mainly Jewish we will respond to anyone in need within the local area. Hatzola was founded in 1965 and now operates in 15 countries. Our new Hatzola HBS service benefits from over 50 years of experience. We are funded solely by charitable donations and rely on the local community to support us.
