There are over 40,000 young people in Australia without a place to call ‘home’. We’re going to change that, by training, employing, and supporting under-privileged youths, while giving them an opportunity to leverage themselves out of a bad situation. A social enterprise adopts a relatively traditional business model, and finds market solutions for social problems. In our case, we sell crêpes and coffee with a view to turning a profit, which will then be reinvested into funding our own training program as well as other programs that support disadvantaged young people. We believe in a hands-on approach to addressing social and economic disadvantage, and actively work with the young people we help through our program, which provides under-privileged youths with hospitality and barista training to enable them to develop the skills needed to find long-term employment.
